It was definitely a case of 3rd time lucky for the annual Auckland Rainbow Parade organizers this year due to interruptions by the rise in COVID Alert levels in February and March. But they got there and it was, as usual, a spectacular event and a great way to celebrate the Rainbow Community in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Hats off to Shaughan Woodcock, the event coordinator, pictured below and the Board members of the Rainbow Parade for a job well done.
Positive Women Inc. did not join the actual parade this year but National Coordinator Jane Bruning was at the opening ceremony representing Positive Women Inc. in solidarity with the rainbow community.
We aim to do a joint march next year together with NZAF and Body Positive.
