The first in-person gathering for HetMAN NZ, a support network for heterosexual men living with HIV, took place in October this year. For those who attended, it was more than just a meeting, it marked the beginning of a space many men have been missing for a long time.

The Board and Operations Team at Positive Women Inc., wish to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our members, and to everyone we have had the privilege of working alongside over the past year.

Positive Women Inc. continues to run a Zoom Support session each month. Sometimes the meetings have a topic and sometimes they are just about connecting with others and have a social chat.

After it’s lunch in August at the Sexual Health Conference, our HIV and Syphilis Rapid testing Training Programme is starting to take off.

The programme is designed to strengthen health equity and improve access to testing, especially for communities who often face cultural, geographic, or systemic barriers.

Positive Women Inc. was proud to host the 2025 HIV Women’s Retreat, a cherished annual gathering which brings together women living with HIV from across Aotearoa.

The 12th HIV Women’s Seminar, held on 3 October 2025 at Sorrento in the Park, brought together one of our largest and most diverse audiences yet.

Wow, what a year we have had! We have taken 80 engagements for 2025. As a ‘newbie’ in this role, I am thankful for the year we have had, it has been an interesting learning curve, I have encountered many wonderful people and had lovely conversations.

On 1 December 2025, representatives from across Aotearoa’s HIV sector gathered at the Beehive for the World AIDS Day Parliamentary Breakfast.
