On 16 November 2021, was a webinar hosted by Positive Women Victoria (Australia). on ‘Menopause and Women Living with HIV’, which included the guest speaker Dr Nneka Nwokolo, a renowned HIV and sexual health consultant, who joined the webinar from the UK.
On World AIDS Day 2021 Dr Elizabeth Kerekere, Greens List MP, held a very special Zoom, focusing on the topic of stigma experienced by people living with HIV. The evening was grounded in a research project undertaken by the Kirby Institute in collaboration with a number of Australian people living with HIV networks.
It has been a year of turmoil, disruption, separation, cancellations, and disappointment but despite these challenges, the PSB have finished on a wonderful high.

On Friday 17th September 2021 Body Positive had the ambitious task of moving a live seminar online. It was a great day of presentations on a range of topics relating to HIV from a New Zealand perspective.

The Ministry of Health has engaged in a process of developing a new National Strategy for Sexually Transmitted and Blood Born infections (STTBI) which will include individual action plans for separate conditions such as HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis, etc.
Life continues to be a surreal out-of-body experience at the moment as we grabble with COIVD lockdowns and finding a new way of living our lives from the ones we once took so much for granted.
