Three key members of the Positive Women Inc. team have left over the past 6 months. Due to COVID and lockdowns we were not able to give them the farewell they deserved. Thankfully we were able to do so during the HIV Women's Retreat over the weekend on 26 June.
Marietta, who finished at the end of January after 11 years of working with Positive Women Inc. is taking a well deserved break from Social Work and using the time to catch up with her family and friends. Marietta will be very sorely missed by the PWI team and the members Marietta has served over the past 11 years with total dedication and commitment. Words are not enough to express our gratitude and we wish Marietta all the very best for the future.
Luca stood down from the Board in December 2021 after nearly 5 years with PWI and over 3 years as Board Chair. We say a huge thank you to Luca for the work he has put into the organisation and wish him well as he heads into the next faze of his life and transition.
Megan resigned earlier in June after 4 years with PWI and is heading to a new job utilizing her skills in the health promotion sector. Megan has been absolutely pivotal to the seamless running of both the support and health promotion projects for Positive Women Inc. Her easy going and happy demeanour will be hugely missed.
