Positive Women Inc. is excited to announce the relaunch of our social media platforms, bringing you more regular updates, engaging content, and valuable resources.

The Women's Retreat is an annual event hosted by Positive Women Inc., It offers women living with HIV across Aotearoa the chance to come together for peer support and provides a valuable opportunity for women to attend the HIV Women’s Seminar.

Through its Te Taenga Mai programme, Positive Women Inc. is committed to making condoms more accessible to everyone. Since June 2024, Positive Women Inc, has distributed over 10,000 free male condoms and 1,100 free female condoms, to people across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Positive Women Inc. attended the quarterly *I N T E R A G E N C Y Network Hui* held in October 2024. This valuable networking event unites health promoters from leading Sexual Health Services and organisations to foster collaboration and partnership in supporting communities.  

Positive Women Inc. held its annual HIV Women’s Seminar on 27 September 2024.  It was an exciting day with lots of very interesting presentations.   

In 2024, Positive Women Inc. intensified its commitment to HIV testing and sexual health. In partnership with Auckland Sexual Health Services and the Burnett Foundation, we’ve expanded our testing to include Syphilis, gonorrhea, and Chlamydia.

The latest figures from the University of Otago’s AIDS Epidemiology Group show that in 2023 there was a rise in HIV diagnoses in Aotearoa New Zealand compared to the last three years, however we need to remember those were the COVID years so it’s not surprising numbers were lower during that time.  

Benjamin Watt, who prefers to be called 'Benji,' joined Positive Women Inc. in June 2024. He is working on a part time contract as an HIV and STI tester.
