Benjamin Watt, who prefers to be called 'Benji,' joined Positive Women Inc. in June 2024. He is working on a part time contract as an HIV and STI tester. Benji is currently completing his Batchelor of Arts majoring in history, and minoring in sociology, at Massey University. Benji also brings valuable expertise in social marketing.
Benji was instrumental in the implementation of the HIV testing clinic at Massy University which is where we first met him.
As part of our testing programme, Positive Women Inc, has partnered with the Burnett Foundation, offering HIV and STI screening to university students once a month at Auckland University, Massey University, and Manukau Institute of Technology. Our ambition is to ensure testing services are accessible by setting up testing stations within the community.
Benji will primarily be doing HIV testing at the Positive Women Inc. office allowing Judith to do testing in the community. Benji is also helping to promote the testing throughout Positive Women’s social media.
