Register here to become a speaker for the Positive Speakers Bureau

We are delighted to announce applications for a New PSB Speakers’ Training – Whakataki Programme are now open.

The New Zealand Positive Speakers’ Bureau (PSB), support and train people living with HIV in Aotearoa to become educators through the sharing of their lived experiences.  Centering people living with HIV as educators is one of the most powerful and effective ways to reduce stigma and discrimination. Ending the silence and talking openly about HIV helps to destigmatise it, and offers opportunities for our Speakers to address misinformation; reducing fear, dispelling myths and presenting a human face to HIV.

This year we are piloting a new training programme called Whakataki. The Whakataki programme recognises everyone’s journey of living with HIV is different, so our programme includes a number of activities that will help prepare people to become a Speaker.

If you would like to become a PSB Speaker or know of someone living with HIV who might be interested, please get in touch or visit our website for more information.
